Lai studied at the University of Hong Kong and the University of Bristol. She taught English Literature and Translation at the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University until her retirement in 2004. She has translated works of a number of local authors, including Leung Ping-Kwan (Ye Si) and Xiao Si into English. In 2009, she was awarded “Outstanding Translator Award” at the Eighteenth Hong Kong Stage Drama Awards by the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies.

Lai is a Hong Kong-based translator whose works have been published in HONG KONG 20/20: Reflections on a borrowed place.

Larsen was Associate Professor of English and creative writing at Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia. She is the translator of Brocade River Poems: Selected Works of the Tang Dynasty Courtesan Xue Tao, and the author of Silk Road: A Novel of Eighth Century China.

Larson was Associate Professor of Chinese in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures of the University of Oregon at the time of publication.

Lau received her BA and MA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was working at the Centre for Translation, Hong Kong Baptist University when she translated Flying Carpet.

Leung received her BA from the University of Hong Kong and her MA in Translation from the University of Westminster. She was a former member of the Research Centre for Translation, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and has worked at the Chinese Department of the University of Hong Kong.

Born in 1949, Leung was one of Hong Kong's best-known cultural icons. A versatile writer, his works ranged from poetry to novels, including《布拉格的明信片》 (Postcards from Prague) (1990), 《半途：梁秉鈞詩選》(Mid-way: Leung Ping Kwan's Poetry Collection and 《後殖民食物與愛情》(Postcolonial Affairs of Food and the Heart).

Li received her MA in Computer-aided Translation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was a member of the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Born in Hong Kong in 1963, Lo studied English and Comparative Literature at The University of Hong Kong and Stanford respectively. He started publishing his works in the magazine 《香港文學》[Hong Kong Literature] after graduation. His best known publications include 《女性印象》[Women’s Impression] and 《假如房子可以流動》[If Houses Can Move].
