ALMBERG, Evangeline (吳兆朋)

Almberg received her BA from the University of Hong Kong and her PhD from the University of Stockholm. She has taught at the University of Hong Kong, the University of Stockholm, Lingnan College and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. While she lived in Sweden, she also freelanced as a translator and interpreter for international bodies and public institutions.

CHAN, Kam-cheung (陳錦昌)

Born in 1958, Chan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese and studied at the London Film School. CHAPMAN, Ian (常易安)

Chapman joined the East Asia Library at the University of Washington as China Studies Reference and Instruction Specialist in 2019. Ian’s background is in interdisciplinary Chinese studies, mainly premodern. He previously taught language, literature, history, and religion courses at the same institution. He holds a PhD in Chinese history from Princeton University and recently earned his MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

CHEUNG, Martha Pui-yiu (張佩瑤)

Born in Hong Kong in 1953, Cheung taught at a number of universities, specialising in Literature and Translation Studies. Her translations of Chinese literature into English include Han Shaogong’s Homecoming? and numerous works of Hong Kong poets such as Leung Ping Kwan. COHN, Don J. (龔丹)

Cohn studied Chinese at Oberlin College and Columbia University. Cutter received his PhD from the University of Washington in 1983. He is Emeritus Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Arizona State University. Among other posts, he has served as president of the American Oriental Society, one of the oldest scholarly organizations in the United States. His primary field of teaching and research is early medieval Chinese literature.
