Almberg received her BA from the University of Hong Kong and her PhD from the University of Stockholm. She has taught at the University of Hong Kong, the University of Stockholm, Lingnan College and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. While she lived in Sweden, she also freelanced as a translator and interpreter for international bodies and public institutions.

Anderson is a graduate student in Chinese at Harvard University's Department of East Asian Languages and Civilisations.

Barmé is Professor of Chinese History at the Australian National University. He is also the editor of East Asian History and co-editor with Bruce Doar of the e-journal China Heritage Quarterly. His publications include Sang Ye's China Candid: the People on the People's Republic and the film Morning Sun, which he co-wrote and co-directed with Carma Hinton and co-produced with Richard Gordon.

Chan studied Translation and Interpretation at the former Hong Kong Polytechnic and received her MA in Translation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is currently a simultaneous interpreter for the Hong Kong government.

Born in 1958, Chan graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese and studied at the London Film School. He was the President of Hong Kong Young Author Association, and worked as a writer, playwright and director. His publications include the award-winning collections《佛釘十架》 [Buddha on the Cross] and 《滴水觀音》[Alocasia].

Chan is a poet, a public speaker, and teacher. Her three books include [There Were Cats Singing], the winner of the Recommendation Prize at the 11th Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature, a prose collection, and a bilingual Chinese-English volume of poetry. Chan’s work has been translated and published internationally.

Chan completed her BA in Chinese and Translation at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She was studying at the City University for her MA in Language and Law at the time of publication.

Chapman joined the East Asia Library at the University of Washington as China Studies Reference and Instruction Specialist in 2019. Ian’s background is in interdisciplinary Chinese studies, mainly premodern. He previously taught language, literature, history, and religion courses at the same institution. He holds a PhD in Chinese history from Princeton University and recently earned his MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Born and bred in Hong Kong, Chau worked as a secondary school teacher, research assistant editor, radio programme director and host after graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He contributed columns to a number of local newspaper including Apple Daily. He became an environmentalist after retirement.

Formerly Chief Conference Interpreter of the Hong Kong government, Cheng has taught translation and interpretation at a number of institutions after retirement. He was a part-time lecturer at Lingnan College at the time of publication.

Cheung's translations have been published in the anthology Contemporary Women Writers: Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Born in Hong Kong in 1953, Cheung taught at a number of universities, specialising in Literature and Translation Studies. Her translations of Chinese literature into English include Han Shaogong’s Homecoming? and numerous works of Hong Kong poets such as Leung Ping Kwan. She also co-edited anthologies including An Oxford Anthology of Contemporary Chinese Drama and Hong Kong Collage: Contemporary Stories and Writing.

Chiu is currently teaching General Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has translated a number of works from Chinese into English, including 《追憶與遺忘——對終極的沉思》(Memory and Oblivion: Mediations on Mortality) and 《家-香港公屋四十五年》(From Shelter to Home: 45 Years of Public Housing Development in Hong Kong).

Choi was a master candidate majoring in Translation studies in the University of Macau at the time of publication. In 2010, he received a graduate assistantship and started working as a tutor in English Writing and Communication Centre.

Chu received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong. He worked as Assistant Editor of Renditions for more than a decade before he joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1994 as Professor at the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies.

Cohn studied Chinese at Oberlin College and Columbia University. Having lived in Taipei, Beijing and Hong Kong for a long time, he has published translations of Lao She's fiction and The Dianshizhai Pictorial. He worked as an editorial assistant at the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and as an editor at the Far Eastern Economic Review.

Cutter received his PhD from the University of Washington in 1983. He is Emeritus Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Arizona State University. Among other posts, he has served as president of the American Oriental Society, one of the oldest scholarly organizations in the United States. His primary field of teaching and research is early medieval Chinese literature.
