Parent / Teacher Influence

The parent and teacher influence research in this project consists of 4 independent scales--Communication with parents about consumption, Communication with teachers about consumption, Concept-oriented family communication about consumption, and Socio-oriented family communication about consumption. Diagrams on this page are derived from 5 youth studies conducted between 2004 and 2008, covering Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Macao. The first large diagram provides an overview of each of the 4 scales, followed by results of individual questions.
