Born in Hong Kong in 1911, Li started creative writing in 1929 and published his works in local newspapers and magazines. He co-founded 香港文藝協會 (Hong Kong Literary Association) in 1936 and edited a number of war publications in China during the Sino-Japanese War. His publications include 都市的五月 (“This City, the Month of May”).
Mok received her BA, MA and PhD from the University of Hong Kong, specialising in the study of Tang poetry. She lectured on translation and interpreting for many years in the Department of Translation, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.
