Synopsis:
Through the male protagonist, Grandpa Shi’s eyes, the readers can have a glimpse into the traditions of the Chinese Ghost Festival. It also unfolds the mysterious past of Grandpa Shi, the cleaner in town, and his relationship with the rice store owner, who makes a fortune by being a loan shark and a deceitful businessman. He eventually dies in a public toilet, triggering rumours about his death.
