The story presents the absurd authority of dogmatism with a strong sense of dark humour. Aunty Li, the “queen” of a factory, adjusts her pocket watch 5 minutes slower every day, so that she can control the off-duty time of her employees to the extent that their sense of time completely diverts from others outside the factory.
