Biography:
Born in Hong Kong in 1972, Lau received his PhD from Hong Kong Baptist University. He started writing poetry in 1988 and his works have been published in Sing Tao Daily and 《詩雙月刊》[Poetry Bi-Monthly]. He also founded the poetry society 呼吸詩社 [Breathe Poetry Club] and served as an editor of its journal. His most well-known publication is the poetry collection 《一天》[One Day].

Chu received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong. He worked as Assistant Editor of Renditions for more than a decade before he joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1994 as Professor at the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies.

She also co-edited anthologies including An Oxford Anthology of Contemporary Chinese Drama and Hong Kong Collage: Contemporary Stories and Writing.
