Synopsis:
This autobiographical fiction depicts the changes of the city and the protagonist's state of mind over twenty years, from 1997 to 2017, during which she witnesses the Handover ceremony as a reporter, experiences the absurdity of local politics and worries as a mother. She admits that democratic movements always consist of givers and takers, but she is also anxious about the fact that her two sons are likely to be the givers fighting for universal suffrage and the future of Hong Kong.
