Born and bred in Hong Kong, Leung graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in Chinese. He is frequently invited to local writing contests and literary festivals. His publications include the novels 《幻城》[Imaginary City] and 《末日絮語》[Words on the Final Days].

HOLTON, Brian 霍布恩

Male

Born in Scotland, Holton spent his early years in Nigeria. He studied Chinese at the universities of Edinburgh and Durham. He taught at a number of universities in the UK, and taught translation for ten years at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He began publishing his Scots translations of the classic Ming novel Shuihu Zhuan (Water margin) in 1981, and is currently the only publishing Chinese-Scots translator in the world.

HUNG, Eva 孔慧怡

Hong Kong

Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.

POLLARD, David 卜立德

England

Pollard served as Professor of Chinese at the University of London from 1978 to 1988 and Professor of Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1988 to 1997. He has written extensively on modern Chinese language and literature as well as on aspects of translation. Among his translations are The True Story of Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren: Selected Essays.
