Biography:
Born in Fujian in 1963, Huang moved to Hong Kong in 1978 and returned to China for his undergraduate studies. He worked as a news translator for Ta Kung Pao and poetry editor of the quarterly magazine 《傾向》[Tendency]. His publications include the poetry collection 《十年詩選：1985–1994》[Ten-year Collection: 1985-1994].

Translator Biography:
Lai studied at the University of Hong Kong and the University of Bristol. She taught English Literature and Translation at the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Baptist University until her retirement in 2004. She has translated works of a number of local authors, including Leung Ping-Kwan (Ye Si) and Xiao Si into English. In 2009, she was awarded “Outstanding Translator Award” at the Eighteenth Hong Kong Stage Drama Awards by the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies.

Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.

Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
