Biography:
Cheung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in physics and wrote poems in his free time while working at a secondary school. He received the Hong Kong Youth Literary Awards in 1993 and 1994. His works have been published in a number of magazines and newspapers. His publications include the poem 遊北京大學被拒 (“Refused Entry to Peking University”).

Translator Biography:
Born in Australia in 1961, Patton received his PhD from Melbourne University. He currently works as a freelance literary translator and teaches Chinese language and translation at the University of Queensland. He also co-edits the China domain of Poetry International Web with the Chinese poet Yu Jian.
Editor
Editor Biography:
Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.

IP, Sherlon Chi-yin 葉志研
Editor Biography:
Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
