Biography:
Born in Hong Kong in 1952, Ma graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1979. He was the owner of Twilight Bookstore specialising in academic publications. His publications, including 《班雅明》[Benjamin] and 《馬國明在讀甚麼》[What is Ma Kwok-ming Reading], appeared regularly in a number of local newspapers.

Tam studied translation at the Hong Kong Polytechnic and received his MA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. A member of the Institute of Linguists, he worked as a professional translator before joining the Research Centre for Translation as associate editor in 1995.

Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
