Biography:
Born in Hong Kong in 1921, Wong grew up in a store in the Hong Kong district of Sai Wan Ho which was owned by his family. There he came across people from all walks of life, and the experience had a significant influence over his writing. His publications include the novel 《太陽下山了》[The Sun is Set] and 《山上山下》[Above and Below the Mountain].

Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
