Biography:
Born in Hong Kong in 1958, Tsao obtained his BA in English Literature from The University of Warwick. He developed his career as a columnist in a number of newspapers and magazines, and is renowned for his mistrust of the Chinese government. His essay collection 《泰晤士河畔》[River Thames], published in 1994, won the Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature (Essay) in the same year.

Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
