Biography:
Born in Hebei in 1913, Lu was an active poet in China before he came to Hong Kong in 1938. He went to Taiwan before 1949, and continued to advocate for modernist poetry with the setting up of 現代詩社 (Modern Poetry Club) and its magazine 現代詩 [Modern Poetry]. He moved to the USA in 1976. His publications include 《摘星的少年》[The Teenager Who Catches Stars] and 《半島之歌》[Song of the Penninsula].

Translator Biography:
Mok received her BA, MA and PhD from the University of Hong Kong, specialising in the study of Tang poetry. She lectured on translation and interpreting for many years in the Department of Translation, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Editor
Editor Biography:
Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.

IP, Sherlon Chi-yin 葉志研
Editor Biography:
Ip received her BA and MPhil in Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
