Synopsis:
Though distinctly different in style, this story can be read as a companion piece to “Uncle Che”, the previous work collected in the anthology. The writer's portrayal of the myriad feelings that the Hong Kong poet experiences as he seeks to befriend and to understand the Mainland poet captures beautifully the feelings of many Hong Kong intellectuals from the 1960s to early 1980s.

She also co-edited anthologies including An Oxford Anthology of Contemporary Chinese Drama and Hong Kong Collage: Contemporary Stories and Writing.
