無危。春及秋季過境遷徒鳥。飛行時像大型燕子，能在空中捕捉昆蟲。嘴闊而短，尾端黑色開叉。成鳥上體灰褐色，喉有明顯黑線圍繞。幼鳥全身偏褐，背部、頸側及翼上均有斑點。見於平坦開闊的原野、耕地和沼澤較乾的地方。
Least Concern. Spring and Autumn Passage Migrant. Resembles a big swallow in flight. Preys on flying insects. Bill broad and short.Forked, black-tipped tail. Adult is uniformly grey brown, throat bordered by obvious black line. Juvenile is browner, with scaly marks on mantle, both sides of the neck and wing coverts. Found in level open county, cultivated fields and drier marshland areas.
