無危。留鳥。大型貓頭鷹，有顯眼的耳羽。有臉盤，身體褐色有黑紋，喉及頰白色，眼橙黃色，羽毛伸延至腳趾。見於開闊的山坡和離岸島嶼。
Least Concern. Resident. Large eared owl, brown in colour with heavy blackish streaking. Facial disc, white chin and throat and golden-orange eyes. Feathers extended to toes. Found in open hillsides and offshore islands.
