Chroicocephalus ridibundus
無危。春及秋季過境遷徙鳥，冬候鳥。香港最常見海鷗，體型細小，上體淡灰色，嘴及腳深紅色。非繁殖羽時頭部白色，耳羽有黑斑。繁殖羽頭部深褐色，有明顯白眼圈。幼鳥嘴和腳顔色較淡，尾端有一黑色橫斑。常見於泥灘、河道和魚塘上空。
Least Concern. Spring and Autumn Passage Migrants and Winter Visitors. Commonest small-sized gull in Hong Kong. Upperparts pale grey, bill and legs deep red. In non-breeding plumage, it has white head and black mark on ear coverts. In breeding plumage, it shows dark brown head with prominent white eyerings. Juvenile has paler bill and legs, and a black band on tail. Found in mudflats, river channels and above fish ponds.
