Black-capped Kingfisher
Halcyon pileata
無危。春及秋季過境遷徙鳥，夏候鳥，冬候鳥。中型翠鳥。頭上半部黑色而下半部白色，紅嘴粗而長，胸部白色，下體橙色。上體至尾部紫藍色，翼上覆羽黑色。聲音為高音響亮的一連串急促「傑」笑聲。見於泥灘，魚塘和基圍。
Least Concern. Spring and Autumn Passage Migrant, Summer Visitor, Winter Visitor. Medium-sized kingfisher. Upper half of the head black and the lower half white. Red bill thick and long, breast white, underparts orange. Upperparts to tail violet with black wing coverts. Call a serious of loud and high-pitched laughing “kee”. Can be found in mudflats, fish ponds, and gei wais.
