無危。秋季過境遷徙鳥，冬候鳥。小型猛禽。成鳥背部紅棕色，尾羽末端有黑色橫帶。雄鳥有灰色頭、腰及尾，雌鳥及幼鳥的則為紅棕色。見於林區, 濕地和開闊原野.
Least Concern. Autumn Passage Migrants, Winter Visitors. Small raptor. Adult has rufous upperparts with black terminal bar on long tail. Male birds have grey head, rump and tail and that of female and juvenile are rufous in colour. Found in woodland, wetland and open areas.
