無危。留鳥。全身白色，腳和腳趾全黑，嘴黃色。繁殖期時頸和背變橙色，腳、嘴和臉部裸露皮膚有時會發紅。見於田地，林地和魚塘邊，喜愛與牛為伴。
Least Concern. Common Residents. White egret with black legs, feet and a yellow bill. In breeding season, head, neck and back turn bright orange, where the legs, bill and facial skin also turn reddish yellow. Found in farmland, woodland and around fish ponds, often aggregated with cattle.
