  • This mid-Qing Dynasty table is made from high-quality rosewood and features the ancient mortise-and-tenon leg style, complete with large bracket-shaped tenon heads.
  • The artisan/designer also achieved a dynamic visual effect by contrasting the plain tabletop with the intricately carved apron and end panels underneath, which feature decorative themes that were popular in the middle and later periods of the Qing Dynasty. The apron is embellished with relief carvings of bats and clouds, while the end panels feature five bats flying among the clouds above the land of the immortals.
