「五雷轟頂」本事
飛龍寨是江湖上一個大幫，三位寨主龍麟、貝奮、陳英傑及龍麟之妹龍珠，替天行道，馳譽武林，聲勢浩大。一天，飛龍寨外來了一個高手，名叫洪威，旋風劍厲害無比，聲言爲投奔飛龍寨，共伐鞭虜而來。三寨主陳英傑，以世途險詐，對此來歷不明的人，反對收留，遂與洪有嫌隙。適山西八虎，前來尋仇，洪頃刻間將其解决，大、二寨主以洪勇武可欽，畝血爲盟，並結義金蘭，誓曰：「若有違誓，五雷轟頂而亡。」
是時，武林黑道黑虎堂，大舉攻佔飛龍寨各地分舵，麟怒，除派貝援蘆花蕩外，親領人馬，馳赴鷄公山，並着傑正面對付黑虎堂，留洪、珠鎭守大寨。麟等走後，洪卽露出猙獰面目，與宣媚娘裏應外合，珠發覺時，已爲媚娘「天蠶毒網」所擒，飛龍寨亦被洪佔領了。
麟、貝、傑三路馳援各分舵，傑至峽谷路上，卽遭伏擊，僅得幸免，折返大寨，豈料大寨早已易上黑虎堂旗幟。幫衆密告傑，珠被囚石室。傑悲憤，與洪决戰，無奈洪武功蓋世，負傷敗走，急往鷄公山。而貝之一路人馬，至蘆花蕩，發覺該處也爲黑虎堂攻佔，黑虎堂頭目孟良，譏貝等不帶眼識人，謠稱傑勾結洪，已佔大寨。貝着手下馳告麟，自己則與孟激戰陣亡。
傑到鷄公山、麟指傑叛，傑力辯，並勸卽返飛龍寨找洪算賬。然而麟、傑却不知這樣做法是被洪玩弄於股肱之間。洪伏兵於飛龍寨來路，將麟、傑分散，並引傑追擊洪，造成麟深信傑眞與洪勾結，有意誘他以伏殺之。麟爲媚娘「天蠶毒網」所傷，乘隙逃去，與幫中死士潛於山洞，並廣邀武林捉傑以正叛罪。
傑追擊洪不着，返原地，見戰後遺痕，知中離間之計，甚恨洪，然却得不到麟及武林諒解。傑夜探黑虎堂，悉洪已殺黑虎堂總堂主而自立。傑設巧計，救珠脫險。而洪又散佈謠言，謂傑、珠有姦情而害麟，使傑、珠不見容於武林。傑、珠苦極，藏身隱秘之處，珠練破旋風劍的絕招「五雷鑿」。傑則以其人之道，還治其身，自毁容，至黑虎堂臥底。唯傑等踪跡，已爲麟親言瞥見，麟率幫衆襲傑等藏身處，珠詐稱傑已死，麟悔恨中了洪離間計，遂與珠協力抗洪。
傑毁容後，化名仇大虎，投黑虎堂，以獻傑藏身處，引洪外出。洪果中計，留孟良、傑留守大本營。珠、麟率飛龍幫死士，作一次螳螂捕蟬，黃雀在後的偷襲，直搗洪黑虎堂，傑作內應，殺良及媚娘。
洪至傑所指之地，空無一物，知中計，急返黑虎堂，與、麟傑、珠大戰，死傷枕藉，麟中招陣亡。傑、珠且戰且走，引至預伏之處。此時，珠使出苦練成功之新招五雷鑿，凌空擊下，洪受轟頂而斃，死狀慘怖，應了誓言。 ——劇終——
THUNDERBOLT (SYNOPSIS)
The Fei Lung Society, under the administration of chiefs Lung Lin, Pei Fen, Chen Ying-chieh and Lung’s sister Lung Chu, enjoys high prestige. One day, an able swordsman Hung Wei comes to join them. But Chen refuses to take in a newcomer with unknown background. This sparks off a personal grudge between the two men. Hung later gets admitted after impressing the other chiefs with his fine fighting ability.
The Society’s sub-branches soon come under the attack of the Black Tiger Gang. Lung Lin, Pei and Chen head off to the branches in an attempt to save the situation. In their absence, the Society’s stronghold falls to Hung’s hands, with Lung Chu captured.
Chen is ambushed, and retreats to the stronghold, now under the Black Tiger Gang’s banner. Shocked, he combats Hung, but is again defeated. He flees. Meanwhile, Pei is fatally wounded at one of the Society’s sub-branches. He dies after sending a messenger to inform Lung that Chen has betrayed them.
Lung brands Chen as a traitor when the latter arrives. Chen convinces him to find out the truth face-to-face with Hung. Unknowingly, both men are lured deeper into a trap. They set off together, and are attacked by Hung and his men en route. Hung tricks Chen into pursuing him, making Lung to think his colleague is a real traitor. Lung escapes. He swears to bring Chen back to justice.
Chen returns to the spot where he parted with Lung, but sees not a soul there. He scents more troubles. Spying on Hung’s stronghold, he discovers the man is in fact working for the Tartars. He leaves after saving Lung Chu. Soon, rumours pup up that Chen has committed an adultery with Lung Chu. Frustrated, the pair take hiding, and spend most of their time studying a new fighting technique, called Thunderbolt.
With a determination to revenge, Chen defaces himself, and infiltrates the Black Tiger Gang. Lung at last realises he has wronged Chen after being re-united to his sister. They join force with Chen in the last combat, in which Hung is chopped dead by the Thunderbolt blows. The entire Black Tiger Gang is smashed, eventually.
