THE SHAOLIN PLOT
A SYNOPSIS
In the first century of the Manchu rule in China, Chinese patriots, led by the martial arts school, work secretly to topple the Manchus. But Manchu Prince Daglen (Chen Hsing), himself a top martial artist, is planning to subdue all the martial arts schools.
First Prince Daglen sent Tibetan Lama Gold Cymbles (Hung Chin—pao) to the Kunlun School to demand the top secret from chief Ku. Ku refuses but loses the fight. However, his son Little Tiger (James Tien) manages to escape with the secret.
Little Tiger seeks the protection of Shaolin monk Pu Hui (Chin Kang). The lama injures Pu Hui and gets the
secret from Little Tiger.
Then it is the turn of the Ta Feng School and the Wu Tang School to be subdued. Prince Daglen now goes to Shaolin Temple, demanding to have their martial secret. Abbot Pu Fa refuses to surrender. The whole temple is put on guard against a Manchu invasion.
Meanwhile, Pu Hui is teaching Little Tiger all he knows about martial arts and urges the young man to keep up the fight against the Manchu. The lama kills Pu Hui but Little Tiger again escapes.
Prince Daglen poses himself as a Shaolin monk and gets into the temple to steal the secrets. He kidnaps the abbot, demanding the surrender of the Shaolin secrets. Luckily Little Tiger gets back to Shaolin in time and with the help of the temple's top martial artists, he succeeds in killing Prince Daglen, rescuing the abbot and keeping the name of Shaolin untarnished.
