“NAUGHTY! NAUGHTY!" (Synopsis)
Wu Te-chuan is a young man trying to make a living the easy way. In fact, you may call him a con man. But now he is penniless and facing the prospect of being thrown out of his Macau hotel. Kindhearted hotel maid Hsiao Yen is the only one in the world helping him.
One day, Wu plays a trick on the hotel owner. He sells the hotel at a low price. He even buys a set of furniture for the hotel. The scheme backfires and Wu has to flee to Hong Kong.
Wu saves desparate painter Hsin from suicide. He convinces Hsin his paintings will sell if he is dead. Accordingly, Hsin's “doath” is made known. His paintings sell like wide fire. But the “widow” absconds with the money and her lover.
Once bitten, twice brash. Wu and Hsin team up and engage themselves full time in con games, gambling and sex inclusive. But they are not bad at heart. They even help out their landlord who is robbed and wounded.
Wu does great imitations at a ballroom just for fun. Amorous taxi dancer Nancy takes him home. Before they get anything started, Nancy's young jockey lover and old sugar daddy all come to pay their respects. Wu and the jockey strike up a friendship while both hiding in the bathroom.
Wu meets Hsiao Yen again. The girl needs money to start a nursery. Wu gets the money by swindling an off-track betting ring. Again his scheme backfires. Wu is being chased by the ring enforcers but is saved by Angela Mao, the Lady Kung Fu.
Finding himself in love with Hsiao Yen, Wu decides to turn a new leaf and live properly ever after.
