“THE FEARLESS HYENA”

Old Master CHEN, leader of the HSIN—YI School, plotted to rebel against the CHN'G Dynasty but news leaked out! General YEN, the “IRON RIDER” and his assistants, “THE THREE SWORDSMEN”, were sent out to kill CHEN and all at his School. Together with his grandson LUNG (Jacky Chan), CHEN fled to the village and there disguished himself as a vendor. Meanwhile, SHEN, one of the pillars of the HSIN—YI School escaped death and set out to search for CHEN.

LUNG had learnt his grandfather's skills from young but was forbidden to reveal his kung fu so as not to arouse suspicion. But being young and impulsive, LUNG lost control when he encountered the village bullies “GREAT BEAR”, “STONE EGG” and “IRON BULL"! His victory gained him fame and LUNG was offered the post of martial arts instructor by SHIH FU at his School. The enrolment multiplied manyfolds and the delighted SHIH, wanting to show his School invincible, offered rewards to anyone who dared to challenge LUNG!

CHEN, on learning LUNG's activities, stormed into SHIH's School. By coincidence, SHEN arrived at the same time but before he could greet his leader, CHEN was already ambushed by YEN and his men! Knowing that they were no match to YEN, all SHEN could do was to lead LUNG aside and bitterly watched the cruel massacre! LUNG retreated into the hills with SHEN and there, vowing revenge, devoted himself to practising kung fu to such an extent that he lost his voice!

One day, SHEN and LUNG, while shopping for their necessities, came face to face with YEN and his men! Once again, LUNG lost control of himself and fought YEN although he knew that he was not YEN's match. LUNG was seriously wounded and was only saved in the nick of time by SHEN's ingenious plans.

The repentful LUNG slowly recuperated and SHEN started to teach him. "EMOTIONAL KUNG FU” — the best skill of the HSIN—YI School developed by the original Master YUEH FEI. To perfect this art, one must be a virgin! Mastering three of the techniques would make one invincible and the fourth would ensure the opponent's fatality! LUNG trained day and night.

One morning, on returning home after practice, LUNG found things changed! SHEN was nowhere to be seen! LUNG rushed to the nearby BAMBOO GROVE and saw SHEN in combat with YEN and “THE THREE SWORDSMEN”. lUNG leaped to help but was a moment too late for SHEN's leg had been chopped off by YEN! With all his might, LUNG fought his arched enemies and finally managed to avenge his grandfather's death!

笑拳怪招（本事）

　　淸庭偵得”形意門”老門主陳鵬飛，柬召武林各派，共謀推翻暴政的消息，發諭”鐵衣緝騎”提督任天化，率高手”三把刀”緝捕陳老門主及格殺形意門中弟子，陳老携愛孫興隆，避禍大隱於市，以揑麵人爲生並掩敵耳目，形意門護法沈志雄，幸逃不死，天涯暗訪陳老，作未來復仇打算。

　　興隆幼護陳老眞傳，性爽朗坦直而好事，雖經陳老一再發誡不得妄洩形意門功夫手法，但因身受世儈小人百般凌辱，忍無可忍下，終於現露絕技制服地痞大狗熊、施旦、鐵牛，被”石富”聘爲武館敎師，自此石富武館戰無不勝，拜師學藝者如山陰道上，石富並懸賞數千金，徵挑戰者，暗示其館中武技天下莫敵。

　　事爲陳老獲知，怒奔武館，適沈志雄亦到，正欲上前和陳老招呼，瞥見任天化率三把刀出現，於是急護興隆悄悄隱退一旁，無法再向陳老示警，陳老被强敵包圍，尤不幸者宿疾因氣惱而發作，終遭任之毒手，興隆目睹爹爹慘死，矢志復仇，與沈志雄居於山中，精硏絕技，但每當思及親仇則熱血沸騰不能自制，終於失音吐字無聲。

　　沈志雄與興隆至市鎭購物，恰遇任等，寃家路窄，興隆暴起發難，但技差一籌，頻危時，幸賴沈志雄以機智救回，興已身受重傷。

　　興隆傷癒，沈志雄痛責其妄逞匹夫之勇，興隆悔過，沈老親授形意門無敵神功之”喜、怒、哀、樂”招式，並解說此招式僅形意門創始者宋武穆王練成，因練時必須童身及天賦悟性，其中”喜報雙慶” ”哀吿天地” ”樂在其中”練成，已立不敗之地，”怒指陰陽”一招，當者立斃，促興隆日夜不懈專心苦學。

　　某朝，興隆練功返回山中，見住處凌戰不堪，沈老又無踪影，知已生變，按沈所留杖痕足印急追，追至“竹林坡”，正看到沈志雄杖殺三把刀之一後，身形高拔，興隆知警，狂呼停手，奈何已遲，沈老業被斬斷腿脚由高處墜落，興隆飛前接抱住沈老，垂淚與敵作至死之搏， 先誅三把刀，後以”形意八式”擊斃任天化，卒復血海深仇，（全劇終。）
