She Had Good Reason For Resuming Career at 75!
When an actress resumes her career at the age of 75, there usually is a reason for it.
In the case of Elsa Heims, one of Europe's most distinguished actresses and named among the Continent's most beautiful women in her youth, there was a special reason.
Now living in Munich, Germany, Miss Heims traveled by plane to Holland to appear with Clark Gable, Lana Turner, Victor Mature and Louis Calhern in M-G-M's color adventure-drama, “Betrayed."
The veteran actress would not ordinarily have made such a trip for a film role. This venture was an exception. “Betrayed" was directed by Gottfried Reinhardt, and Mr. Reinhardt happens to be Miss Heims' son.

Standing out in the supporting cast are Ian Carmichael as a go-getter British captain, O. E. Hasse as the crafty. Col. Dlietrich of the German Intelligence, Niall MacGinnis as one of the Scarf's followers, Wilfrid Hyde White as Gen. Larraby, and Nora Swinburiie as the Scarf's mother, who becomes a pivotal figure in the story's suspense-filled outcome.
Director Gottfried Reinhardt has kept his drama moving at a fast pace and has skillfully integrated the romantic and dramatic interludes of “Betrayed,” It is a picture which spells ENTERTAINMENT all the wav.
