LITTLE SHRIMP
The picture is based on the story of "Little Shrimp" written by Kuo Liu, which is most widely read by the Chinese polulation in Hong-kong and acclaimed as the best novel For 1947. It depicts the life and struggles of a stranded boy—how he goes through experiences of the underground world and tinally triumphs by his own will. It is directed by Wu Tsu Kuang, who directed "A Peasant's Tragedy" and starred by Shu Shih (who played the role of the Manchu Emperor in The Sorrows oF the Forbidden City) Lu En (star in "A Peasant's Tragedy" and "Hearts Aflame") Yeh Hsiao - chu, Ling Ching, and Niu Peng.
