LIGHTNING SWORD

SYNOPSIS

At the annual sword tournament arrogant past champion Kai Tien Howe loses to young newcomer Loong Wei. Seeing her teacher's depressed state， Hsia Lien Hua sets out to seek Loong to avenge his defeat.

When bandits of the Chang Hsing Society appear at an inn to demand protection money， the outraged Lien Hua， aided by Loong， overpowers them. The bandits then go on to ravage an entire village. Loong sees bandit chief Chin Hu Lu to plead for his victims. They agree to meet at a duel.

Meanwhile Lien Hua and Loong fall in love. When she discovers that Kai and Chin plan to collaborate against Loong she tries to warn the latter， but cannot find him.

At the duel Loong has to contend with both Chin and Kai. He is defeated and badly maimed. Chin next kills Kai and his entire family.

While convalescing Loong is inspired by a spider spinning a web and works out a formidable technique whereby he uses a chain for a weapon.

At the next tournament a swaggering Chin， convinced that he will be the new champion， warns the gathered crowd that in future he and his men are not to be disobeyed. Suddenly Loong appears. A fierce fight ensues in which he is at a distinct disadvantage， until he produces his chain and kills the dreaded and powerful Chin.

Their revenge accomplished， Lien Hua and Loong fall into each other's arms and swear never to be parted again.
