Biography:
Born in Kuala Lumpur in 1936, Chang received his PhD from the State University of New York in 1975 and joined the Department of Government and Public Administration at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1977. His publications include the political allegories 《釣魚政治》[Politics of Fishing] and 《養狗政治學》[Politics of Dog Petting].

Translator Biography:
Cohn studied Chinese at Oberlin College and Columbia University. Having lived in Taipei, Beijing and Hong Kong for a long time, he has published translations of Lao She's fiction and The Dianshizhai Pictorial. He worked as an editorial assistant at the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and as an editor at the Far Eastern Economic Review.

Editor Biography:
Born in Hong Kong, Hung received her doctorate at the University of London. She was the Director of the Research Centre for Translation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and editor of the literary journal Renditions. She has translated works by Wang Anyi and Eileen Chang into English.
