Biography:
Born in 1945, Gu graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He attended the Iowa Writers' Workshop in 1970 and wrote a number of pro-leftist poems that could represent concerns of that era. He founded two literary magazines 《文學與美術》 [Literature and Art] and 《八方》[Everywhere], and worked as an academic until his retirement. His publications include 《備忘錄》[Memo] and 《書想戲夢》[Dreams].

She joined the Research Centre for Translation, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003 and served as Managing Editor of its magazine Renditions. Her research focuses on the translations of traditional Chinese literature into English and German.
