Welcome to History in Data

Since 2014, the Department of History and the University Library at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) have engaged in close collaboration to develop History in Data, which provides a diverse array of databases for academia and public.

Through the joint efforts of the members in the Department of History and the Digital Initiatives and Research Cluster of the University Library, History in Data currently hosts 18 databases covering a broad spectrum of fields, including Archaeology, Art History, Cultural Relics, Heritage, Hong Kong Studies, Interactive Media, Military History, Painting, Spatial History, and Sun Yat-sen Studies.

History in Data will continue to further expand into a broader range of fields, with a commitment to advancing the Digital Humanities and historical scholarship in Hong Kong.
