This hands-on session is designed for beginners who want to explore the fundamentals of text analytics and gain practical experience with real-world applications.

Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic concepts and techniques of text analytics;

  • perform text preprocessing tasks, including tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, and stop-word removal;

  • apply text analytics methods to practical examples and datasets.

This is a CCL credit-bearing event. HKBU students registered with HKBU email addresses are welcome to participate and earn 1 CCL credit by attending the whole session.
