Dive into the world of data science with R in this introductory workshop. Learn how to import, tidy, transform, visualise, and model data. This hands-on session is designed for beginners who want to explore how to transform raw data into understanding, insight, and knowledge.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
import, tidy, and transform datasets using R, applying essential functions from the dplyr package;
create and interpret visualisations with ggplot2 to effectively communicate insights derived from data; and
gain understanding of statistical modelling techniques and identify resources for further learning in data science.
This is a CCL credit-bearing event. HKBU students registered with HKBU email addresses are welcome to participate and earn 1 CCL credit by attending the whole session.
